About me

I am a third-year PhD student in Consumer Behavior and Family Economics at the School of Human Ecology at University of Wisconsin-Madison. My expected graduation is in May 2025.

I’m generally interested in social science research, with special emphasis on economics and public policy. I focus on quantitative analyses of policy issues, particularly child well-being. My research interests are in poverty, child well-being, public health, risky behavior, vice goods, gambling, and payday lending.

I am a citizen of Finland, now a permanent resident in the United States.

I graduated with my Masters in International Public Affairs from the La Follette School of Public Affairs at UW-Madison in 2021. Prior to Madison, I completed my BA in Political Science and Global Studies at Winona State University in Minnesota.
